The West End Hotel is located in a B-listed Victorian townhouse only 15-minutes walk from the West End of Princes Street, the perfect base to relax yet within easy reach ofthat Edinburgh has to offer.

We offer simple, quality accommodation for guests that want to make the most of their time exploring Scotland’s capital. After a full room refurbishment in 2018, The West End Hotel Edinburgh offers modern and bright DORMITORY rooms which are comfortable and welcoming. Choose to stay in either one of our small 6 bed dormitory rooms with En-suite or one of our larger dormitories with shared bathrooms, you won’t be disappointed!

Rooms at West End Hostel are accessible by stairs as there is no lift at this hotel. The property also boasts original high ceilings and bay windows.

Buses run every 10 minutes from the hotel to the city centre. Edinburgh Haymarket Rail Station is just a 5-minute walk.

Public parking is available at the nearby NCP Car Park, which is 20 minutes walk from the hotel.

Groups of 8 or more people must pay a damage deposit of £20 per person upon arrival cash only - this will be refunded on check out once no damage or disturbance has been caused as per hostel rules.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:00.

Children are welcome when adults are booking a private room only. Children under 18 arepermitted in the dormitory rooms. Children trying to stay in the dormitory rooms will be refused entry.

All guests checkingthe hostel must have photographic ID with them in the form of passport or driving licence. Unfortunately check-in willbe permitted unless photo ID is provided.

There is no lift access in the hostel androoms are accessible by stairs only, over 3 floors.

Small lockers for valuables are available with access from 08:00 until 23:00.

Males who book the female-only dormitory room willbe permitted to stay and a refund willbe issued.

Any guests arriving after 23:00 Sunday to Thursday and after 00:00 Friday and Saturday will be required to pay a GBP 5 late arrival fee to the member of night staff. Please note, any stays of more than 2 weeks, or extensions to current reservations, must first be approved by the hostel manager.
